Introduction
An isometric world illustration based on an adventure that could only be thought up in vibrant dreams. The dreamer travels to each floating island for a unique experience before moving on to the next. Just when they think they are done, the portal leads straight back to the start where they can take a short rest before exploring the world again and again until they drift back awake with energy for the day ahead.
The style of the artwork is a low polygon, 3D modelling which was created using Blender
3D and rendered at a high quality. To achieve an isometric image, I changed the camera
to orthographic and calculated the camera angle needed. The special effects and the background were painted afterwards in Photoshop. The colours are vibrant and complement each other, the main being the orange and the blue. I added orange highlights with a blend mode were painted on later to complement the orange clouds.
